Female Judges Sentence Graffiti Taggers to Long Prison Sentences
Two female judges gave out some of the harshest jail sentences in United States history to two male graffiti taggers. One 18 year-old was given 8 years in prison without the possibility of parole for causing $7,300 in damaged property, and another 19 year-old was given three consecutive 8 year sentences for causing almost $5,000 in damage due to his spray painted graffiti.
The judges were female, and the defendants were young males who just became adults, but obviously still have juvenile minds, yet there was no understanding or mercy, just a sentence that will not be questioned by a sexist society who believe males always deserve the harshest punishment imaginable. These two boys will now become victims of our justice system, and when they do something worse in the future no one will blame these two female judges for setting their future in stone. A short jail sentence, a fine, community service, and probation is what most male judges hand out, and that gives the person a chance to rehabilitate themselves.
At least the 19 year-old can get parole after two years, but the 18 year-old must serve 8 years no matter what happens.
I’d like to see how these female judges treat female defendants. Sexist judges on the bench is a perversion of justice.
